Kusum Meena,
PhD

I am Kusum Meena, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. I joined the department in June 2020, bringing with me a strong academic background and a passion for research. I completed my PhD in October 2019 and gained valuable experience as a postdoctoral fellow at Auckland University before joining IIT Delhi. Prior to that, I earned my Master's degree in Manufacturing Science and Technology from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, and my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University College of Engineering Kota.

My current research interests center around the design and development of auxetic structures for a variety of applications, including defense, healthcare, automotive, and aerospace. I believe that additive manufacturing is the ideal method for bringing these structures to life, and I am committed to exploring the full potential of this technology. I am excited to share my research and insights with you, and I look forward to connecting with like-minded individuals and organizations who share my passion for innovation and excellence. Beyond my academic pursuits, I also enjoy engaging in various hobbies, including reading non-fiction books, practicing yoga, and taking walks in nature.
